Boost Your Courage!

courageWhen the world seems to be falling apart, it sometimes is very difficult to have courage.  Don’t forget that God is in control.

Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

Even though it seems things are hopeless, God is hope. If we didn’t have hope, our lack of hope and courage would eventually ruin our lives.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13

God is love and He will never fail us.  In life there are many trials we go through, and we lack courage.  It is important to remember that God is there every step of the way for us and we need to stay constant in prayer and in His word.

Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:2-5

The enemy will not go unpunished even though it seems they have many things working in their favor.

for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.  Proverbs 24:20

Finally when we  know our lives here are finished, we should have courage and never forget His comforting words.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

  1. Hi Verona! What an encouraging post, and I love the image of the lion you have here. How wonderful it is that we have such great words to remind us of God’s unfailing love and support in the bible.
I do love St. Paul, and his words glorify suffering, something I would never think of myself. I don’t like hardship! But he shows how I can be led to hope and a stronger faith. That puts a positive spin on it, which is needed 🙂
Thank you for your visit to the blog, and the FB too. I’ll go over to your FB too!
