With the amount of people losing their jobs these days, it’s harder than ever to achieve financial freedom. Most people don’t know how to get debt free without getting outside assistance.
The best strategy would be to get help from a financial adviser or counselor. Seeking out organizations and agencies that offer services to help get finances on the right track is a great step. Creating budgets, planning, and strategies for achieving financial freedom will take some time and effort. The end result will be very worthwhile though.
Many of our financial situations may seem overwhelming and it really appears to be a problem that will be so hard to fix. In these times, it’s important to go to God with our worries and any other problems we may have. In the Bible, Jesus speaks to the Christians and tells them to let go of worry and to trust him. Now is the time to form a closer relationship with Jesus and place this in his hands, and then freeing yourself of financial worries. Worrying keeps people from enjoying the productive life that they were meant to live.
In this verse, Jesus provides his people with knowledge on how to get out of debt. “Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? or, what shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:31-33
Some valuable strategies to follow on achieving financial freedom, is to create a budget by listing all financial obligations start from the smallest to the largest. Start by paying off the smallest balance debt first and then continue by paying off the larger ones. By doing this and learning to live below your means will enable an individual to stop using credit cards and getting loans. Try to see if the interest rates on existing credit cards can be decreased and even on a home mortgage. This will also help to get them paid off even faster. Paying a little extra and not just the minimum payment on the smallest credit card or debt will help. Even if there are thoughts of not being able to put anything extra down, trusting Jesus that he will provide is the right thing to do.
Both Christian and secular financial counseling organizations can assist and teach anybody how to manage and eliminate debt. Getting help with making a budget and possibly consolidating debts to be able to pay off at a faster rate will be very beneficial. Getting out of debt will become a reality with patience and determination. Seeking out professional assistance and learning the best plan of action, with faith that you will attain financial freedom is the key.
