  1. A good friend of mine (Kathy Gosiger) and I arrived there at about 4:00 am and was seated near the front of the restaurant. We had been dancing at Manhattan Rose and was eating dinner (breakfast?) All of a sudden, there was a guy at another table and his buddy had gone outside for a bit. Then he decided to dine and DASH! The police showed up and it was quite an experience to watch! “Dine and Dash” was VERY common there! Gotta love it!

  2. Valerie Swank Trautman says:

The one experience that really stands out in my mind is…while sitting in a booth, eating dinner, seeing a ROACH run across our table! Ewww

  3. I remember sitting in the lounge in a booth seat and they had those yellow plastic panels with the lights behind them in the ceiling. There were always a bunch of dark roach shapes lying around up there! Not very appetizing looking at roasted roaches. At the time it didn’t really bother me much because the food was so good! Lol

  4. deborah cobb says:

My Parents met at Kim’s. My Mom (Barbara Coder/Cassidy/Wolfe) worked at Kim’s as a waitress in the late 60’s. My step dad (Leon Wolfe) was related to a Manager. I Remember Family Dinners at Kim’s in the 70’s. My favorite was the Pork and Seeds w/Hot Mustard, Kim’s Pink Sauce, Jumbo Fried Shrimp, and Fried Rice… and the Shirley Temples.

But the best Memory I have is when Myself, My Sister, and a Girl Friend (LT) were asked to Go Go Dance for a Group of Men that were in one of the Large Banquet Rooms. We didn’t have a clue what we were doing, but we had on our long knee top faux leather boots and mini-skirts and we be-bopped around and entertained them, which got quite a laugh. Ahhhhhhh, Good Times! Miss Kim’s, Love the Pink Sauce!!! None Like it anywhere~
