The Power Of Praise Examples

Power of Praise by the oceanTHE POWER OF PRAISE VERSES FROM THE HOLY BIBLE

1. Dedication of Solomon’s Temple:
“It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God” II Chronicles 5:13-14.

The glory of God failed to enter into this temple until the musicians and singers started to “>praise God within a single mind and one union–even though the temple had been completed, and every one of the furniture pieces were in the right location. The following shows everyone we can aquire all things correctly placed in how we live, but we’ve got to praise God if we want to feel His wonderful presence.

2. Judah’s Victory Over Their Enemies:
“And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten” II Chronicles 20:22.

Many locations of Israel’s enemies gathered to battle in opposition to Judah. Judah was significantly outnumbered. Jehoshaphat was afraid, and set himself to seek out the Lord, announcing a fast all through Judah. The spirit of the LORD came upon just one of the Levites, who prophesied how the Lord will give all of them the triumph. They might not even need to battle for it!

Singers were selected to worship and
“>praise the LORD
, and as they did so, God struggled for Judah and conquered its enemies. This shows us that in the period of temptations, trials, etc., we can easily enjoy the triumph by praising and worshiping the Lord Jesus Christ.

3. Paul and Silas Experiences Victory in Prison:
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bands were loosed” Acts 16:25-26.

Paul and Silas ended up being thrown into prison for speaking the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rather than moaning and groaning, they got their minds off themselves, and began to
“>sing praises
unto their God. God sent a spiritual (and physical) earthquake. Due to this move from the Holy Spirit, Paul baptized the jailor together with his family.

What are your “Power of Praise” experiences?  I find that when I praise God for even the rough times, I understand that His plan is in motion and I need to rest in His word that He is in control and knows what is best for my life.
