Many times, during our life we often don’t find many things to be grateful for. We may be going through something very difficult and life isn’t going the way we had hoped. During these times we don’t think about all that we are grateful for. The Bible says that we are not to dwell on problems or life’s situations because we get hindered to receive God’s blessings. The very things we are dwelling on will not get better or maybe get even worse! For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Proverbs 23:7.
It’s so important to be grateful or thankful for what we do have. I’ve been practicing the 21 Day Challenge which has me list things daily that I am grateful to God for with declarations and other healthy habits for the mind and body. What a difference my outlook is now! I am experiencing more blessings, joy, kindness, patience, gentleness, generosity and self-control.
Practicing gratitude and writing down things we are grateful for daily shifts your state of mind into positivity and closeness to God and this is the will of God. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:16-17
One of the many people in the Bible who practiced gratefulness was Job. He suffered a lot of disappointments and hardships, yet he thanked and praised God because he knew that God would never fail him. Job endured the most difficult circumstances including losing his health, children and possessions. Because of Job’s gratefulness and trust in God during these trials, he was blessed with much more than he ever had before.
So if there’s a struggle to obtain this habit of gratefulness, try the Free 21 Day Challenge. This is just a small part of the Raising Royalty platform that helps discover many ways to advance your daily life by not striving and working on your destiny on your own.
There is no power greater than God’s to walk with daily to increase our blessings whether it be physically, spiritually, or financially. God knows all your wants and needs. He loves all of us and desires to fill these when His children have a close daily relationship with Him.
