I often wonder why the same problems keep repeating over and over? If I start reading the Bible and look for uplifting Bible verses…will this change anything? Why hasn’t my life been as meaningful or as happy as I would really like? Why are there difficulties with relationships, work, health, etc.?
Whether we choose to have God in our lives on a consistent basis or wander off in our own world can have a very distinctive impact on our lives.
All of us like to feel that we are loved and have the promise of someone with our best interests at heart. God wants for us to have fellowship with Him and others in our lives. But one thing that many people don’t understand is that we are incapable of truly loving anyone else until they experience the love of God. When we have surrendered our lives to Him to be our Savior and friend, we are changed into more of a Christ like person who is ready and able to love someone else.
As long as we keep straying, we will begin to lose the close relationship with our Lord and we won’t experience His love. The more we get into the routine of praying and reading the Bible on a daily basis, the more we understand His love and will for our lives. Then we are open to the many blessings He gives us. These are blessings that we would miss out on if we were to trudge along living our lives without Him.
Why would we ever want to resist being close to God? People think that they know how to live their lives without Him and that is a mistake. God is our creator and he knows what is in store for you and it is always the best way.
He will refuse us no good thing when we gladly submit to His will (Romans 8:32). He tells us, “‘I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope’” Jeremiah 29:11
If we have been straying away from God’s best, the best plan is to get back on track by praying for closeness to Him again and for His guidance. You will discover that He will bring much hope to your situation, even if you feel like giving up.
Below are uplifting Bible verses of hope:
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:2-5
For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:24-25
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12
For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:4
