What First Impression do I Leave?

what first impression do i leaveWhen meeting people, what first impression do I leave ?  Do they know I’m a Christian or do they not know?  If someone that I’ve known for quite awhile, would suddenly say “Oh I didn’t know your were a Christian” that would bother me.  It would make me wonder what kind of impression do I really leave?

I was put here on this earth to be a witness for Christ.  If I am not openly displaying my hope and love for Him, then I am not living out what He desires for me.

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15

  1. It always intrigues me when someone’s thoughts on a word prompt are so different from my own. When brainstorming I didn’t even think of relating the word “leave” to leaving an impression. Good thoughts.

  2. Thank you Kelly for the kind words. Yes, I sometimes forget that my main purpose here is to consistently show that I am child of God. I am blessed by His grace and love daily! Thank you for stopping by. 🙂

  3. Excellent post. Thought provoking question. With every breath we take, we are leaving a legacy…godly or otherwise. Most people do not take the time to be intentional about their legacy. The topic is one I wrote a Bible study about in 2010, ‘From the Trash Pile to the Treasure Chest: Creating a Godly Legacy’. Stopping by from #FMFparty.

  4. Such a great reminder! I want every one I meet to know that I am a child of God. Thank you!

  5. Verona, the impression you leave on your blog is that He lives. Thanks for being His disciple. A FMF friend stopping by to say hello.

  6. Hi Verona! I think if you are intent on being a good follower of Christ, then he will take charge of what kind of impression you leave behind you. We can’t hide our love for the Lord, it shines right out of us in the Spirit.
Just like you do right here 🙂
    Happy Halloween!
