Bashing Our Government Brings a Powerful Discovery

bashing-our-government

It is widely known today, many people that are bashing our government are holding marches and some are destroying people and businesses in our country.  Also there are some citizens in the United States that feel for the people that enter our country illegally and would like to open our borders to them.  Some feel that the illegals should not be entitled to the same benefits because American taxpayers have paid for this all their life.

Even if our views are different, we are not to rebel against our government.  The Bible makes this clear in Romans 13:1-2

  • Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power.

So we must trust God that he is in control and His will is the best and trust that everything works together for good as seen in Romans 8:28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

  • So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow.

It is never right to disobey God under any circumstances even if we do not agree with them.  You may be missing out on blessings! He (Jesus) replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” Luke 11:28

There are many people that are constantly bashing the current president and staff in office.  This will never benefit anyone and I believe it is hindering any good that God is working on right now for the country and in our personal lives.  When we take our attention away from God and set them on perceived circumstances or outcomes, we will always be disappointed and have lack of joy in our life!

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you. Hebrews 13:17

We need to stop dwelling on and worrying about what could happen but be joyful for the future that God is providing for us.  By taking all the negativity and putting it toward something positive, we will begin to unravel beautiful blessings that have been waiting for us. The best plan is to pray about things that concern you and let God handle the rest.  He knows our future, past and present and so His plan will not be to harm you.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11.

Dear Heavenly Father, please help me to focus on you, direct me each day to further your perfect will and help me to discern between right and wrong.  Please give me a peace beyond understanding by trusting you. Help me to not worry about actions from our government and just reveal to them what is truly right for our country. I’m putting all my trust in You Lord, In Jesus name, Amen.
