I think it’s great when I see little children freely share their toys with others. I remember when my son was around nine years old and I gave him a Birthday party. All the children that attended received little gift bags with small toys and candy during the party. One boy arrived late and my son knew that he was too late to get a gift bag, so he shared and gave him his squirt gun that he had received.
I felt so happy that my child was so giving. I reminded him often, even when he was an adult of that day and what he did, and he always wanted me to change the subject. I told him that he was so kind to do that, and he would almost act embarrassed about it.
People should share more of their time as well because those in need sometimes only want a few words of encouragement to make their day. At the same time, it may encourage them to want to help others. Sharing and helping out when others are unable to do things for themselves forms friendships and just feels good.
If only all children and adults shared more by helping others, then these actions would be reciprocated. Meaning that more of what we give comes back and creates even more blessings.
There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered.
Proverbs 11:24-25
Sharing the hope of God in our lives and what He has done will be inspirational to those who need reassurance when things are difficult. During these times of need, this is the best medicine.
My final thoughts would be to see the good in sharing, reap the rewards from God and never be selfish!
